In the UK Globagroup International Plc endeavour to physically support community ventures and in the last quarter of 2009 we delivered “Be your Own Boss” courses to 340 individuals in disadvantaged communities, ran a “Business Dragons” programme for Global Entrepreneurship week starting eleven new companies and supported 300 creative people into the performing arts in Birmingham.
In terms of enterprise, we practice what we preach actively working with small businesses and individuals to bring them the enterprise message and assist them to carry it out – we don’t just talk the talk we do the walk, not to mention the somersaults to get new businesses started.
Globagroup International Plc operate additional services for social enterprises and are currently physically working with the carers network in the UK assisting 102,000 carers to help improve their income by starting businesses or using direct payments to improve their quality of life and those they care for. We also take the enterprise message to schools to encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs.
